Two more plots of land in Clinton Township have been added to the county’s agriculture preservation conservation program.
Over 100 acres of the Allen Farm were donated to the preservation program—meaning that the land can only be used for farming in the future.
Since its inception, the preservation program now includes nearly 70 farms and over 7,000 acres. In Clinton Township alone, nearly a third of the municipality is now participating in the program.
County commissioners praised the program, saying that it gives municipalities an active voice in the development of their area.
