After joining the Butler Area School District in April of last year, the district’s Supervisor of Transportation is getting ready for a smooth beginning to this school year.
During a school board meeting earlier this week, Tabitha Scutt spoke to board members about her preparations.
In addition to re-routing the entire district with a goal of shortening bus routes, Scutt has put a lot of work into seating charts which she believes will help avoid problems. She also recently spoke to a gathering of bus drivers about issues like discipline and communication.
Scutt previously worked as a manager at transportation provider Valley Lines in charge of operations for the Seneca Valley School District.
