The Golden State Warriors are the NBA champions after defeating the Boston Celtics 103-90 last night in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series. Steph Curry scored 34 and was named the Finals Most Valuable Player. Golden State won their fourth title in the last eight seasons.
WNBA legend Sue Bird has announced the current season will be her last. Bird will retire after 21 seasons in the league. She is a four-time WNBA champion, 12-time All-Star and the oldest player in the league. Bird has spent her entire WNBA career with Seattle since being the top overall pick in the 2002 draft after a storied collegiate career at UConn.
