More than a dozen graduating seniors at Slippery Rock University will receive recognition for their achievements in an upcoming event that will also celebrate the variety of cultures at the University.
SRU’s Office for Inclusive Excellence is hosting the biannual Multicultural Graduation Ceremony at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Smith Student Center Ballroom.
Students will receive stoles that represent their unique culture and heritage as well as distinctive stoles for students representing a specific country or community which they will wear at commencement later this week.
This event is free and open to the public. A small reception will follow the ceremony.
