Butler City Police are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles that happened over the weekend.
They said the thefts happened in the city and in nearby areas.
If anyone has photos or video evidence they should call 911 and have officers collect it for an investigation.
But police also add that residents should be aware that thefts can increase during the holiday season. They encourage everyone to lock their cars and take all their belongings out of the vehicle.
City Police say most thefts happen in the evening or early morning.
