The City of Butler will engage a familiar company to handle collection of all local taxes.
At their meeting earlier this week, City Council voted to engage to Berkheimer Tax Administration Services as deputy tax collector beginning next month and continuing through December of 2024.
The cost of this agreement will be a variable amount based on the number of tax cards Berkheimer sends out. The reason given by council for entering into this agreement is increased efficiency.
Berkheimer already collects all other city taxes as well as taxes that are owed by local residents to Butler Area School District.
