Butler City Council has approved the final part of the improvements that will be made at a local park.
At their meeting Tuesday night, Council members approved a bid from Asphalt Surface Enterprises, Inc in the amount of $23,000 to paint and seal the pickleball courts at Ritts Park.
A couple of bids were received for the work to be done on the seven courts and ASE came in with the lowest offer. This work is expected to take place in the spring when the weather begins to get warm again.
The money to pay for this improvement comes from the Ritts Park Greenways and Trails grant. This is the last part of the work to be done as part of this $125,000 project at the park following paving, restoration of seating, instillation of a fit trail, and planting of trees.
