The Western District of Pennsylvania has a new United States Attorney.
46-year-old Cindy Chung was sworn in earlier this week as the 59th US Attorney for our local district which includes the 25 most western counties in PA.
Chung previously served as Assistant United States Attorney since 2014. She also recently taught at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law. She takes over from Scott Brady who resigned in February after serving just over three years.
Chung was nominated for US Attorney by President Biden in October and was confirmed by the Senate through the efforts of Senator Casey and Senator Toomey. She will lead offices in Pittsburgh, Erie, and Johnstown staffed with 59 assistant US Attorneys and 56 support staff.
