A couple of municipalities are moving emergency rental relief funds into low income housing rehabilitation.
Slippery Rock and Jefferson Townships both received permission from the county to move $48,000 each into housing rehab funds.
County officials say these funds were set to expire, and no one had used the money for rental relief. So instead, each municipality will use the money for issues like mold and ventilation problems at houses in the low to moderate income bracket.
Township officials say there are already homes on tap for the renovations.
