A female goalie for Mars High School, who was subject to vulgar abuse is set to be embraced with a lot of support next week.
Mars is moving their game Monday to the UPMC Lemieux Complex in expectation for a large crowd that will support the female goalie for the Planets.
At a game earlier this week, students from Armstrong High School were heard chanting vulgar terms and sexist remarks at the goaltender.
Armstrong has banned students from future hockey games and is continuing their investigation to exactly what happened.
As for the Mars goalie, the crowd will include parents, fellow students, and some Olympic athletes who will all be wearing white in support of one of the only female athletes playing hockey in Western PA.
