Many local school districts just give students the day off on Veterans Day but students in the Mars Area School District are planning a special celebration.
A Wall of Honor display will be erected by the Spirit Club at Mars Area Middle School to recognize local veterans.
Seventh and eighth grade students will be collecting and sharing information about family members who served in the armed services. Photos will also be accepted.
The deadline to submit information to be included on the wall next week is today.
