Cranberry Township is looking for seasonal volunteers or those who might be in need of the assistance they can provide.
The “Leaf Angel” program is designed to help those in the township who need help gathering and disposing of leaves through December 10th. Cranberry had success with the “Snow Angel” program last winter as volunteers helped residents remove snow to keep sidewalks and driveways clear and safe.
Volunteers ages 15 or older or those younger accompanied by an adult can participate by completing a form online through the Cranberry Township website. They will then be paired with at least one nearby resident with a yard in need of leaf removal. Volunteers are encouraged to work in teams and should use their own rakes and gloves.
Those in need of assistance from a leaf angel volunteer in the Cranberry Township area should also complete an online form as well as a liability waiver statement. The township will place a screening call with the resident to confirm need. Five biodegradable leaf bags will be provided.
