A Neighborhood Pride Award was given out at the Butler City Council meeting on Thursday.
Barry Cummings was recognized with a Commercial Pride Award for Cummings Coffee and Candy on North Main Street.
A nomination application must be submitted to the four-person Neighborhood Pride Committee in order to be considered for an award. The purpose of the award is to recognize a residence or business in the city who has displayed obvious and abundant pride in their property.
