Freeport Borough officials say the area is dealing with unreliable cell service which could lead to problems with residents calling 9-1-1.
According to a press release from the Fire Marshal, the issue seems to be with Verizon Wireless customers, or those who connect to their tower.
The fire marshal says if you are experiencing an emergency, you can visit the fire station on Market Street or reach out to a neighbor immediately.
Right now, officials say they’ve reached out to Verizon who says they are aware and trying to fix the issue.
