Those with an interest in history and science will have the opportunity to enjoy both at a new exhibit of the Carnegie Science Center.
Pompeii: The Exhibition will open on Pittsburgh Saturday featuring 180 authentic and priceless artifacts from the nearly 2,000 year old disaster.
Visitors will have the chance to experience the Roman city of Pompeii as it was frozen in time following the catastrophic volcanic explosion of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Artifacts include authentic gladiator armor and weapons as well as household objects and medical instruments.
This media-rich exhibit will continue at the Carnegie Science Center through April 24, 2022.
