As the remnants of Hurricane Ida move into our area, two organizations are encouraging preparations and offering tips.
According to the American Red Cross, Tropical Depression Ida’s arrival will introduce significant rainfall as well as the possibility of flooding.
The Red Cross recommends preparations including assembling an emergency preparedness kit and avoiding contact with flood water.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is another agency advising caution and recommending that residents use extra care when traveling and watch out for work crews making repairs along roads.
