Those interested in learning more about kayaking and local nature are invited to an event scheduled for this coming weekend at Moraine State Park.
On Saturday from 9am until 11am, park staff will teak participants basic kayak tips before heading off to explore the abundant wildlife and plant life at the inlet near Mount Zion Church.
Saturday’s event is designed for attendees ages 12 and older, with those under 18 accompanied by an adult. Participants can borrow kayaking gear or bring their own. Life jackets will be required.
Pre-registration is required, and can be completed by calling the park office at 724-368-8811.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and participants are asked to bring a face mask or covering.
