Butler Transit will be receiving over $90,000 in local match funds to help with operating costs.
Butler County Commissioners approved the move at Wednesday’s meeting. Around $60,000 of those funds will be used for projected operating expenses.
The other $34,000 is set aside for improvement projects, or as capital and assets. However, Butler County is only responsible for $10,000 of that money. Other local municipalities that utilize the transit service will be chipping in to the funds as well.
- Butler Township/Butler Health System service $4630
Butler Township/extension to SPHS Mental Health provider $4630
Jackson Township $7500 - Center Township $4630 (service to new VA outpatient facility)
- Evans City Borough $3500
According to the resolutions, the matching funds will be secured by the end of next fiscal year.
