A 19-year-old from Jefferson Township has been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after he was shot in the head near the woods.
Details are unclear at this point, but the call came into the Butler County 911 Center around 12:40 p.m.
Dispatchers say the man was bleeding from the head when crews arrived. He was located in the woods behind a home in the 400 block of West Jefferson Road in Jefferson Township.
Crews worked to perform CPR on the man who was not breathing but did have a pulse. A medical helicopter was called to Butler Memorial Hospital where the man will be flown for additional treatment.
It’s unclear how the gunshot happened and the man’s current condition is unknown at this time.
