As we close out 2020, gas prices are nearly 40 cents cheaper than they were at this time last year.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Butler is $2.36, which is down a penny from last week.
Meanwhile, the average price for gas across western PA is $2.47.
However, AAA also notes that gas prices could be on the rise in the coming weeks due to increasing crude oil prices.
