An accident knocked out power to a number of Evans City residents earlier this morning.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on West Main Street when a vehicle hit a pole—which then split in half and was dangling by the wires.
One person was hurt in the crash, and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
First Energy says about 500 people don’t have power this morning, and that includes Evans City Elementary School, which is a part of the Seneca Valley school district.
