Seniors ages 65 and older in the Cranberry area are invited to take advantage of a program to receive free carbon monoxide detectors.
The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company is distributing the battery-operated detectors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Cross Creek Room of the Township Municipal Center.
To be eligible, seniors must live and own a home in Cranberry with detectors provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. There is also a limit of one per household.
This effort is part of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company’s ongoing Fire Safety Education program.
