At least one person was taken to the hospital as a result of accident Thursday afternoon in the city of Butler.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m. two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle backing up in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station on East Jefferson Street.
A woman needed to be transported to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of head and back injuries.
The extent of injuries to the other person is not known at this time but it is not believed that person needed hospitalization.
