The Pennsylvania Game Commission plans to refund money to residents who have placed orders for seedlings after this year’s distribution has been canceled.
As a result of mandatory closings and delays, the Howard Nursery has decided to cancel 2020 public seedling sales as well as several of the programs that benefit such as the Seedlings for Schools Program.
No seedling beds had been opened yet when the decision was made so all seedlings will remain in their beds until the spring of 2021 for distribution at that time.
Over the next few weeks, nursery staff will contact those who have already placed orders for this year about refunds. The nursery is closed at this time so anyone who calls should leave a message and be patient.
