The plan for a mini-casino in a neighboring Beaver County is being scrapped.
The PA Gaming Board denied a proposal to open a mini-casino after a Mount Airy Casino was unable to secure enough funding.
The gambling complex was going to be built near the intersection of Interstate 376 and the PA Turnpike. Beaver County officials hope other businesses will express interest in developing that area.
