A new PA Game Commission Board of Commissioner member has been confirmed to fill a vacant position which includes Butler County.
Kristen Schnepp-Giger of Warren, PA was nominated by Governor Tom Wolf to fill the District 1 spot which includes the counties of Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren.
Schnepp-Giger has been a wildlife biologist with the National Wild Turkey Federation since 2011 when she was hired to fill a cooperative position with the Allegheny National Forest overseeing stewardship of more than $1.6 million in wildlife habitat enhancement work.
Schnepp-Giger is a hunter and parent to two children who also hunt. She also started a grief recovery program centered around the outdoors called “Moments on Target”.
