The American Red Cross is giving local residents the opportunity to help patients in need through the donation of blood.
A collection will take place on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cranberry Municipal Center.
Some people delay donating after receiving a flu vaccine, but there is no waiting period to give blood following a flu shot as long as the donor is symptom free. Donors must feel healthy and well when donating.
Those who would like to make an appointment to donate should download the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
