Getting up-and-down floors at the Butler County Government Center has been a little more difficult than usual lately.
County commissioners said at their Wednesday meeting that one of the elevators inside the government building has been having significant issues, and that maintenance would have to spend nearly $10,000 to repair the elevator’s motor.
In total, elevator maintenance has cost the county around $20,000.
The commissioners said they’re in the exploration stage of replacing the 20-year-old elevators entirely.
