Dauphin County’s top prosecutor will hold a news conference Monday morning to discuss claims of sexual misconduct against state lawmakers.
District Attorney Fran Chardo is expected to speak at 10 a.m. regarding claims of misconduct against lawmakers, and how they are investigated.
Chardo’s office is investigating former State Representative Brian Ellis, who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman after leaving a Harrisburg bar in 2015. On Friday, a Dauphin County grand jury recommended no criminal charges against Ellis.
The conference is expected to involve the grand jury’s recommendations for how sexual assault, harassment and other allegations against members and staff of the General Assembly are investigated.
