Former Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Ellis will likely not face criminal charges following allegations that surfaced last year of sexual assault.
The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting a grand jury from Dauphin County that was investigating the allegations made by a female state employee has recommended no charges be filed against Ellis.
A report outlining the grand jury’s reasoning is expected to be released Monday.
50-year-old Ellis- of Butler Township- has continued to deny the allegations, but did resign as state rep in March, saying it was the best option for his health and family.
