A portion of a busy roadway was shut down on Saturday following a crash in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
According to KDKA, a motorcycle and tractor trailer were both traveling north on Route 19 when the motorcyclist attempted to use the left lane to pass the tractor trailer.
Officials say that the tractor trailer then attempted to turn left and the motorcyclist laid the bike down. Both the motorcyclist and their passenger were flown to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
