A busy Center Township road has been reopened a day earlier than originally planned.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, crews began working on a portion of Mercer Road- between Mercer Street in the City of Butler and Aubrey’s Drive (the entrance to Aubrey’s Golf Course) in Center Township Monday, July 22nd.
Crews were able to repair damage caused by an embankment failure and stabilize the road’s shoulder.
This project was originally scheduled to be completed tomorrow (Friday) but with the work finished today, the road is now reopened.
