A former Pennsylvania attorney general is expected to be released from jail Wednesday after serving time for leaking grand jury material and lying about it.
Kathleen Kane has served about eight months at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. The facility’s warden said Tuesday that Kane shaved about two months off her minimum sentence by serving her time without any problems.
The 53-year-old is a native of Scranton and became the first Democrat and first woman to be elected the state’s top prosecutor in 2012.
