The public is invited to attend a concert this weekend to benefit a local neighborhood hit hard by flooding earlier this summer.
A Rising Above the Waters benefit concert will take place Sunday at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. Doors open at 5 p.m. and a concert featuring Jim Donovan and the Sun King Warriors as well as Dennis McCurdy and Lonesome No More begins at 6 p.m.
This event will also include a variety of baskets available for raffle. Tickets range from $20 to $30 and can be purchased online or at the door.
Proceeds will go towards those impacted by flooding May 28th in Zelienople, Harmony, and the surrounding areas. Donations will also benefit the Harmony’s Fire District’s purchase of submersible pumps as well as Connoquenessing Creek cleanup efforts of the Allegheny Aquatic Alliance.
