Local music is taking center stage in Butler County this weekend at this year’s Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival.
It’s the 7th year for the event, which is held at Cooper’s Lake Campground in Slippery Rock. It begins at 5 p.m. Friday, with performers every hour through midnight. It continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The festival was created to commemorate the yearly anniversary of the Grass Roots Show, which highlights local artists every Sunday evening on Butler Radio’s The Rock Station 97.7 FM.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate, which gets you access to the festival for the entire weekend. Some come for one night and others camp all weekend at Cooper’s Lake.
