Police have confirmed additional details about a vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a Butler woman last week.
According to a press release from the Butler City Police, 50-year-old Roshelle Davenport was driving a motorcycle in the 500 block of West Cunningham Street shortly after 7 p.m. on July 3rd.
Davenport’s motorcycle struck two different vehicles near the intersection with West Jefferson Street including one in the oncoming lane. She was not wearing a helmet. She was initially transported to Butler Memorial Hospital then flown to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of numerous serious injuries. No one else was injured.
Davenport was pronounced dead Monday at the hospital. The police investigation into this crash is ongoing pending results from the Allegheny County examiner.
