A Butler County church was struck by lightning over the weekend.
The steeple at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church on Penn Avenue in Lyndora was struck during the storms that rolled through on Saturday afternoon.
There was no fire inside the church and no one was injured. However, there was reportedly still extensive damage done to the cross that sits atop the steeple.
The church is part of the Butler Area Catholic Parishes. St. Fidelis has another location in Meridian.
