Several thousand Central Electric Cooperative customers in Butler County are dealing with a power outage early Wednesday.
It’s believed the outage occurred about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
CEC was reporting roughly 2,660 customers are in the dark. The majority of the outages are in Clearfield Township (1,000) and Summit Township (800). Other outages are in Donegal, Oakland and Winfield townships.
It’s unclear what caused the outages. CEC said early Wednesday that a crew has been assigned to the area and was working on repairs.
