A couple of men from out of the area are facing charges following a traffic stop over the weekend in Brady Township which uncovered drugs and stolen weapon.
According to State Police, troopers pulled over a vehicle on a routine stop shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on Route 8 North. Officers determined that two passengers in the vehicle, 24-year-old Marquise McWhorter-Honay of Delaware County near Philadelphia and 23-year-old Akeem Tyson of Maryland near Washington D.C. had given fake names.
A search of the vehicle revealed 16 packages of powdered cocaine as well as a loaded Glock 19 handgun that was reported stolen in Lancaster, PA. In addition to multiple arrest warrants out on both men, they will also face charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and giving False ID to Law Enforcement.
Both men have been booked into the Butler County Jail awaiting arraignment.
