Officials have confirmed that a woman from eastern Pennsylvania was found dead at the same Dominican Republic resort where a Maryland couple also died.
Police said 41-year-old Miranda Schaup-Werner of Whitehall Township, Lehigh County reportedly died from cardiac arrest on May 25.
Her death- along with those of a couple from Maryland five days later-remain under investigation.
The resort where she was staying released a statement saying the U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic announced the deaths should be considered isolated cases.
A family spokesman confirmed that Schaup-Werner, who was traveling with her husband, had a history of heart issues.
