If you are looking for a challenging way to enjoy nature this weekend, a guided hike is planned for the area near McConnells Mill State Park.
Park staff will lead a hike along the Slippery Rock Gorge Trail from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
This over 7 mile hike is considered difficult so participants should be in good physical shape and prepared to deal with steep, rocky, and uneven terrain.
Pre-registration is required by calling the park office. Hikers will meet at the Hells Hollow parking lot.
