Butler County residents are dealing with effects from severe weather that hit Western Pennsylvania Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings throughout Tuesday afternoon as well as a Flash Flood Warning through 9 p.m. Tuesday and a Tornado Watch in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Emergency responders were kept busy with trees and power lines down resulting in small fires as well as several minor accidents and flooded roadways.
The risk for severe weather is not over. The National Weather Service Office in Pittsburgh is forecasting a “slight risk” for severe storms on Wednesday afternoon and evening. An isolated tornado is possible.
