A VA Butler Healthcare event later this week will try to enhance mental health care for the local veteran community.
The seventh annual “Mental Health Summit” will be held on Friday, May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center Auditorium in Center Township.
This year’s event will focus on whole health and suicide prevention, with a special exercise on mindfulness. Breakout sessions will address recovery components specific to family, friends and coworkers, as well as personal development.
Veterans, family members, VA employees, volunteers and the community are invited to attend this summit.
