The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 Saturday, snapping a five-game losing streak in Dallas. Jared McCann scored twice and Jake Guentzel scored his 38th goal of the season. Penguins goaltender Matt Murray stopped 29 of 31 shots. The Pens complete their four-game road trip tonight in New York against the Rangers. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game from Madison Square Garden is 6:30pm on WISR. After tonight, the Pens will play four of their final five games at home.
The Saturday victory kept the Pens tied with the New York Islanders for second place in the Metropolitan Division for a day. The Islanders, Washington and Carolina all won games Sunday. The Pens trail the Islanders by two points, and lead Carolina by two points. They are three points behind first-place Washington.
