Drug charges have been filed against two people following an incident earlier this week in Slippery Rock.
According to a criminal complaint made by the Slippery Rock Borough Police, 31-year-old Dustin Cunning of Evans City and 40-year-old Dawn Eckert of Boyers will face charges including felony delivery of a controlled substance.
During the course of an investigation into a home invasion and drug trafficking in Allegheny County, two officers from Scott Township tracked a vehicle they were looking for into Slippery Rock late Wednesday morning.
When the officers observed what looked like a drug deal taking place, they arrested those involved. Officers allegedly found an unopened package or brick of heroin as well as 37 individual stamp bags of suspected heroin. Eckert’s 3-year-old son was also in the vehicle.
Cunning and Eckert were questioned by police along with the man who was allegedly buying drugs from them resulting in these charges.
