Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was named the NHL’s Third Star of the week for the second time in the past three weeks. Crosby tied for the NHL lead with 11 points in three games last week. He has six goals and 22 points over his last 22 games. Evgeni Malkin has seven goals in his past eight games, and is within four points of reaching 1,000 in his career.
The Pens will honor forward Matt Cullen prior to tonight’s game, his 1,500th of his career.
