The WPIAL will release its basketball playoff brackets Tuesday night. The Trib-Live Sports Network coverage will be broadcast live on WBUT and WISR beginning at 7 p.m.
All six Butler County Boys teams are in the post-season. Five of the six Girls teams have also qualified for the playoffs.
Monday night in High School Sports:
–Butler defeated Hampton 67-54. Ethan Morton had 22 points to lead Butler.
–Knoch defeated Armstrong 79-56. Jared Schregengost and Scott Fraser had 17 each for the Knights.
–Deer Lakes 55 Freeport 52
–Seneca Valley 52 Norwin 50
–North Catholic 81 Gateway 48
–Pine Richland defeated Sewickley Academy 93-60
Girls:
–Butler defeated Hampton 37-27. Jordan Kauffman led Butler with 17 points.
–Mars defeated Rochester 76-44. Tai Johnson led the Planets with 27 points.
–Freeport 41 Deer Lakes 39
–Karns City defeated Leechburg 47-25.
