Multiple emergency response units were sent to West Sunbury Wednesday afternoon for a search of several ponds.
Crews from Unionville, Slippery Rock EMS, and the specialized Butler County Water Rescue team were mobilized around mid-day and dispatched to a property off Branchton Road.
Pennsylvania State Police requested that the crews be sent to the property as part of a search for a missing person. Police did not immediately return a call asking for additional information.
Based on the conditions, no divers were put in the water however people in ice gear dry suits waded into the water of one of the ponds which looked like someone could have fallen in there. Nothing was found. Crews cleared the scene by around 4:30 p.m.
