–Mars defeated Palo Verde 75-64 in their opening game of the annual Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas. Michael Carmody scored 23 to lead the Planets, who improved to 5-0.
–Pine-Richland defeated Brashear 87-66.
The Mars 9th grade boys defeated Fox Chapel 50-44. The Planets visit Moon this afternoon.
Bowling:
–Kiski Area swept the Freeport boys and girls. The Kiski boys won 7-0. The Kiski girls won 5-2.
