Boys Basketball:
–Mt. Lebanon defeated Butler 87-60, handing the Golden Tornado their first loss of the season.
–Knoch defeated Valley 67-49. Scott Frazier led the Knights for the second night in a row with 23.
–Karns City downed Union 71-51. Nathan Waltman led the Gremlins with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
–Keystone defeated Moniteau 49-34.
–Redbank Valley over AC Valley 56-49. Levi Orton led the Falcons with 15.
–Pine-Richland defeated Westinghouse 77-28.
–North Allegheny over Obama Academy 78-48.
Girls Basketball:
–Freeport-64 Hampton-38. Sidney Shemanski led the Yellow Jackets with 20. Freeport set the tone with a 17-4 first quarter.
–A-C Valley 47, Redbank Valley 17. Cami McNany led the Falcons with 16.

College Notes:
The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team jumped out to a 37-16 lead and never trailed in a 79-71 victory over Lock Haven last night at Morrow Field House. The Rock had points from all 11 players on the floor. It was the third victory in a row for The Rock, which improved to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC.
The Rock women topped Lock Haven 77-66 to improve to 5-4 overall but a perfect 3-0 in the PSAC.
The Duquesne men’ basketball team (8-2) will host Penn State (5-5) tonight at PPG Paints Arena. Tip-off is 7pm.
Former Slippery Rock University baseball stand-out Matt Adams has finalized a $4 million agreement with the Washington Nationals. The deal includes an option for 2020. The 30-year old Adams began last season with with the Nationals before being traded to St. Louis. He ended the season with 21 home runs and 57 RBI’s.
